Jesus said that He would build His church. That statement reveals that a church community and culture does not happen on its own – it must be built. The church culture must be built through spontaneous fellowship, then go on to develop meaningful friendship among its members, and finally to intentional community. Such relationships will edify and build up each member of the church so that destinies can be reached for both the individuals and the church as a whole.

The Feasts of Israel provide a comprehensive pattern of the redemptive plan of God from our position in Christ to our possession of Christ. Each feast represents a deeper "rest" in the Spirit as we progress from being born again to full spiritual maturity. The feasts also correspond with the progressive restoration of truth from the Dark Ages to the present.
The first three feasts portray the death, burial, and resurrect of the Lord Jesus, and provide the basis for our salvation. Pentecost stands alone and represents us with the power and ability to transition from our old life to our new life in Christ. The last three feasts represent taking possession of everything Jesus made available for us through His atonement.

The Feast of Passover:
This feast reveals how the death angel "passed over" Israel and freed them from slavery, and then launched them into a new beginning. There are eight characteristics of the passover lamb that were fulfilled perfectly in the passion and crucifixion of Jesus.
The Feast of Unleavened Bread:
Passover reveals what God provided in the Lamb, while Unleavened Bread shows the positional aspect of our relationship to the Father. It also provides a blueprint of our responsibility to be cleansed, based on that position.
The Feast of Firstfruits:
This feast is unique in that it does not have a holy convocation connected with it. However, when we understand how it relates to the resurrection of Jesus and the heave and wave offering, we will see that it is truly a feast!
The Feast of Pentecost:
Unlike the three related feasts of the first month, Pentecost, in the third month, was observed on its own. It stands alone to present a pattern of the equipping the Holy Spirit brought to the church when "the day of Pentecost" came in Acts 2.
The Feast of Trumpets:
The three feasts of the seventh month begin with Trumpets, which prepared Israel for the great Feast of Tabernacles. This feast also corresponds with the significant enlightenment the church has experienced since the mid 1900s as God has "trumpeted" one liberating truth after another.
The Day of Atonement:
This was the day in which the sins of the nation of Israel would be dealt with as the final preparation for the Feast of Tabernacles. It was a day of great solemnity, as well as a day of triumphant rejoicing and great expectation. In many ways, this was the greatest single day in all of Israel's year.

The Feast of Tabernacles:
This great feast is the culmination of all the feasts, and represents the fulfillment of God's redemptive plan. It is the only feast that has not yet been fulfilled in the restoration of truth. The feast reveals how Jesus will be manifested when He returns, as well as foreshadowing the inheritance of God's people. It has an eighth day, which represents the dawn of the reign of Christ on earth.
